A numerical solver for investigating the space charge effect on the electric field in liquid argon time projection chambers

Abstract This paper reports the development of a numerical solver aimed to simulate interaction between space charge (i.e. ions) distribution and electric field in liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) detectors.
